Woven from pure wool in a warm sand beige with a fine self-jacquard ground, this shawl is hand-embellished by skilled artisans with hundreds of individual crystal motifs , each one set in a deliberate composition that traces the border. The bead-work is dense but precisely ordered, the wool beneath falling with the easy weight of a cloth made to be worn.

Each Ashwaa drape is woven and finished by hand in Kashmir, India, in fine pashmina, cashmere, baby cashmere, or wool, in stole or shawl proportions. Composition, dimensions, design technique, and colourway for this piece are listed in the description.
As the work is done by hand, slight variation in motif placement, weave tension, edge fall, and colour intensity is part of the craft and is not a flaw.
Fine wool, cashmere, and pashmina are living fibres. They reward unhurried care.
Store the piece flat or loosely folded in its dust proof bag, in a dry place away from direct light and humidity. Air it between wears. Keep it clear of perfume, cosmetics, hair products, and metal jewellery, which can catch the weave.
Spot-clean small marks with a clean white cloth and cool water- do not rub. For a full clean, entrust the piece to a dry cleaner experienced in fine cashmere and wool. Do not machine-wash, tumble-dry, or iron directly on the weave.
Address loose threads promptly. Work them gently back into the weave from the underside. Do not cut.
